The concept of one’s path is a tricky one. It can give false expectations when paired with a lack of clarity. One’s path does not need to be a lifelong one, but it can be smaller paths that have the option for something greater.

The idea of one’s path can be detrimental to free will in various circumstances. Sometimes the idea of it is too important and too abstract to outright deny. Sometimes the “path/purpose” is really from someone else.

Discern whether or not it is worth your time and whether it aligns with what you desire. There are many stories where someone was forced upon their path in life, and it went well. It is not always that simple. Sometimes there is an immense amount of work before that success or it was something easy because the path and their intentions aligned.

If the proposed path is not something you want to do, maybe it is not the right time even if it is the right path. If there are no positive incentives to go in a certain direction (including money), then questions should be asked before making a decision. Sometimes a proposed path is more destructive than it is worth at the time of evaluation.

The idea of a single path is limiting. There can be multiple correct paths and purposes. There are many ways of approaching path and purpose and it doesn’t need to be normal. A path could change with new people and situations giving rise to new choices and possibilities.

Sometimes purposely creating new and appealing circumstances changes the “paths” ahead to something better than the previous best that was presented or discovered.
